Anyone who truly wishes to believe rightly in the Creator must also desire to know the Qur’an and Allah correctly and sincerely. If there is a Muslim who distances himself from sectarian and partisan attachments, who lays aside his old garment (the old way of life), and follows with a pure heart — then I can say with certainty that from the Muslim community, even up to the level of the Imams, whoever truly seeks truth will find it through the successive writings that we shall present. For no one respects an empty barrel — likewise, those teachers who, out of fear of the suffering that might befall them if they speak the truth, choose silence instead of revelation, have indeed lost their honor. We, too — we who are Christians — having learned from all, must now remove the veil of deceit. For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed; it is now the age where every concealed thing will be brought to light and spoken openly in the public square. Even if it is small, when the trumpet of truth sounds, darkness gives way to light. Yet there are many who are enclosed within the walls of pride, deaf to the cry of truth. Their journey is one of darkness; and the traveler of darkness cannot walk a straight path. But suddenly — when a ray of light shines forth — it reveals the true way. Then the traveler walks in peace. From the Apostles, we have learned this: truth may be suppressed for a time, but never defeated; for when light appears, darkness flees.
